A break is detected live when the channel logo leaves the screen after a cut, black or silence cue. Every break is then recorded from the ring, measured again on the recording, split into spots, and categorised against what this output normally does. "Recording agrees" means the logo absence measured on the recording matches the live start and end within 6 s.
